John Vaillant an award winning journalist and author was on democracy now, he talks about Canada unfortunately following the USA and actively expanding it's fossil fuel operation while the world burns. For the first time I feel ashamed to be Canadian. How bad does it have to get before we stop?
American politician, James Talarico just said in an interview, "trickle down economics aren't a theory, it's theft." It's well past time any politician acknowledged that. It's a big part of the reason the gap between the rich and rest of us continues to grow. It needs to end.
Here in BC a lot of forestry roads get deactivated, making them impassable. Problem is, when there is a wildfire in the area firefighters and their equipment can't get in either. Given the rising wildfires, this practice needs to be reconsidered. The quicker a new fire is delt with the better.
