Feeling better today, I got sick over the weekend and was absolutely dead. I was awake for what felt like five hours the entire weekend. Any unfortunate problem with getting sick and not doing anything is now it's Monday and I take it step back and everything is huge mess.

Recent Linux struggles. I have a really bad laptop that I installed Mint and XFCE on. I only use it to play a 10-hour rain mp3 on repeat. Recently, however, after leaving it for a day or two, it randomly breaks and locks up, so I have to hard force a restart the whole thing.

The most wild part of the human condition is our desire to categorize things. Everyone thinks they can escape this... You will create your own internal hierarchy of categorizations of things, and you will get infinitely upset when someone believes otherwise. You cannot escape this fact.

Blue sky added a feature on mobile to drop down a lis of people you got notifications from and its impossible to click on now because all it does is do the drop down. It's hella annoying.

Time for brainstorming a new thing since my other project is looking DOA. There's a few options to continue that but they're all... rough haha. The takeaway is I need to find something I can do that I can do most of the work myself, and not need outside help with art/music/etc.

I want to stream but it's been so hot I gave up for a bit... As it cools off this week maybe? But the heat totally borked my sleep schedule because I've been up at night when it's not 30-35C lol

Been using my Steam Deck in desktop mode while docked, and its wild how good its been compared to my full i9-9900 and RTX 2070 PC. Its obviously not the same but it comes very close considering my PC was $1400 in 2017 and I only paid $700 for the launch Steam Deck(not OLED, 1TB)

The desktop mode of a Steam Deck, a PC desktop that's running KDE that has a green theme, a calendar and calculator widget, some performance graphs, a binary clock widget, and a picture of Nezuna Nanakusa from the anime "Call of the Night" as the background

Made a spreadsheet, I have about 140 games on there so far(minus some holdouts I'll get to today) and I have about 50 so far I'm planning to sell. Im trying to pair that down further but the 50 I have are stuff I'll sell on EBay the others... I want to find them a good home.

Today is a wild one.... I'm culling my Nintendo Switch 1 collection, documenting every game I have... and deciding which ones live, and which ones DIE(or get sold) Come hang out and talk games and stuff! www.twitch.tv/snowdrama

Day 6 on my cleaning game dev went well. I added the ability to move items between various containers, and tomorrow I think we start on the dish washing workstation and then we can start connecting all the smaller systems.

Fedora Media Writer has been awesome, I used to use Balena Etcher, but because FMW will work with any iso, it's been awesome for making USBs for Arch/CachyOS/Mint/Ubuntu etc. I've been messing with different Linux distros to see their defaults and it's been a great tool.

Not me having to implement my own Mathf and other math and data type extensions again in a new engine! (Trying to port some stuff from Unity/Godot but it's going to be a bit I guess before this is all fixed) Today's going to be fun XD

I'm still trying really hard to get to the level where my games are good enough to sell but the resources for the middle part of game dev is MIA. Theres plenty of "my first game" and "research paper on AAA rendering techniques" but no "how to architect your entity system so you can do cutscenss ez"
