Posting our lab life studying the neuronal cytoskeleton and chromatin with cool microscopes🔬Proud #GenX, #firstgen college, #intj @RITscience @stonybrooku Alum Verified: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8481-0403

How do we watch chromatin make developmental decisions as neurons are still alive? Tomorrow I have a poster at the Neural Dev GRC. We engineered biosensors that visualize chromatin states inside live neurons. The next frontier isn’t more sequencing it’s watching chromatin biology unfold in 4D.

How long do polarity proteins and their partners survive as a neuron prepares to migrate? Liam Hallada has answers today at the Neural Development GRC poster 13. Using a HaloTag pulse-chase imaging strategy he maps protein stability with spatial resolution in and around cell adhesions!

So happy to share this angle of my postdoctoral work! The skin epidermis keeps on keeping on, even when we deplete a majority of dermal fibroblasts.

@isabella-gaeta.bsky.social, @shuangshuangdu.bsky.social, @valentatormenta.bsky.social et al. show that the epidermal stem cell layer retains its capacity for proliferation despite significant fibroblast depletion during both adult and neonatal stages in vivo. rupress.org/jcb/article/... #StemCells

Hey y’all 👋 repost magic appreciated. The Solecki lab is recruiting multiple postdocs at St. Jude for a chromatin imaging project at the edge of live-cell imaging, neuronal cell biology, chromatin regulation, and quantitative image analysis. Ever dreamed of touring chromatin like this? We CAN 🔥

I have had the privilege of watching this Lab grow from its inception in 2007 to the powerhouse it is today. If I could pick a spot to do good science and a mentor to navigate the postdoc phase of my journey, I'd be knocking on this door humbly asking David if I could be of service to the mission. 🧪

The Hoffman Lab at Yale is hiring! We’re currently recruiting for a Lab Manager and Post-Graduate Research Associate positions. If you're interested in understanding the function of neurodevelopmental disorder genes in the developing brain using #zebrafish, we'd love to hear from you! #researchjobs
