This 1000% An environment that punishes mistakes leads to feeling justified in hiding them. Trust me, I grew up in one. Accountability/growth can only happen in a space you can safely learn from them without being shit on. Otherwise focus shifts from "How can I improve?" to "They're being shitty"

Calling for firings or further retribution (to be visited on GDQ staff/etc.) is sending the message that even if you (eventually) do the right thing, you're still gonna get punished. And that's a mindset that leads people to... wait for it... not do the right thing at all. Chill, people.

Maybe I'm too close to see it or just too out of the loop but the kind and compassionate people I know who are on staff with GDQ aren't twirling their wax-stiffened mustaches, hoping to do the wrong thing and cover up shit. It hurts when people generalize about people I know and care about.

I'm just going to say the unpopular thing: Cheering for somebody to get fired because a mistake was made (and summarily corrected) is ghoulish. Clearly there was an oversight and people don't have to demand blood for every error. Some of you should reevaluate your morals.
