I am so fucking tired of "seeking justice" being framed as "getting even." Arresting and/or impeaching people who are legitimately guilty of actual crimes is not revenge. It is justice. Innocent people should be released from detention and guilty people should be in prison. Again, that is JUSTICE.

in the wake of blue texas, i'd still push people to consider supporting TENT! since i posted about them last, they have taken some of the first steps towards legal action... which will now (hopefully) be LEAGUES easier given a certain attorney general named ken paxton is no longer in the picture.

As it has been reported, TENT did not author, authorize, approve, or distribute text messages or send mail. Any and all materials are not affiliated with our organization and are impersonations. These instances will not shake our commitment to the dignity and humanity of trans youth, trans Texans, their families, and their loved ones. Trans Texans belong here in Texas. This is our home and we’re not going anywhere. On October 27th, our organization took the first major step in seeking justice, not only for our organization, but for all Texans whose information was used to spread disinformation about our organization. A hearing was held in Travis County for our 202 petition, which seeks to get the information we need to hold accountable those responsible for the harm that has been caused to our organization and our staff. We cannot do this without the support of our community and allies. Consider donating to TENT as we fight for the right to privacy for all Texans.

related, but a main texan trans resource (TENT) has been dealing with malicious mailing campaigns. outside orgs are impersonating them + mass sending texts/pamphlets out with the intent of riling up anti-trans sentiment. pls consider boosting + helping if you can! givebutter.com/trans-texas-...
