i wrote a 2025 reflection on a brand new journal today because it's a tradition of mine to wrap something up on a blank slate and to remember that everything that will happen in 2026 is the product of all the works i've done the year before.

i started writing short stories again. this one is a little murder mystery cyberpunk that i decided to write the beginning and the ending first before i write the middle (which i will do tomorrow). i feel like i need to get to the #point of the story before i can extend it to a whole thing.

As a multiple language speaker it's also frustrating to see people using AI for translation because the English speaking world tends to treat translators like workers for hire instead of co authors of text and this feels like more of it. Translation at the literary level is creative work. (2/?)
