4. Televised hearings where all administrators must publicly testify. Any people who have professional licenses like lawyers etc... are stripped of their licenses. 5. Public memorials in every state that tell the story of what happened. Funding would come from the Federal government.

I’m interested in any political imagination for accountability. It has to be proactive & retroactive. It has to be spectacular. And, ideally, it would leave so many of them broke that it actually becomes a deterrent. Being poor is truly all they care about not because they don’t care about prison.

Very true. The structural advantage most old countries have is that their capitals are the most populated cities where people can run down from their flats, protest like hell, rotate, and keep it up for weeks or months. We need to be in D.C. and it needs to be sustained.

Pettysburg Address, chefs kiss. They’re re-floating the idea of ICE at polling stations to ‘verify citizenship’ (read: intimidate voters). At this point, I wouldn’t put it past him to try some dumb shit like seizing ballots before they can be counted. I think he’s trying to spark violence.
