When I was a kid in the late 70s, we had neighbors who had a laser disc player, which was brand-new tech. They had exactly 2 movies: DUMBO and BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR. I can’t imagine where people bought discs back then, but I like to imagine their dad asking the clerk for those two specific movies

tangential but a few years ago I developed a series with an animation company about a fictional Animal Olympic games - it didn't go anywhere BUT I did get to write a joke where three goats beat one of the characters at high jump and he says "I would have won if it weren't for those medalling kids"
