Spacemen Pod

An occasional Spacemen 3 podcast where a couple of long time fans chat about their favourite band. This is also the personal account of host Ian Edmond, so don't blame Mark for the non-Spacemen content. https://spacemen3.co.uk/pod/
#EmojiSounds #MusicSky Day 31:🔚 A great album and set closing song. This gig was a bit of a weird one, I don't think anyone had expected they'd play the upcoming SHSL in full! This was the first live performance of Spiritualized - So Long You Pretty Thing youtu.be/NZFdRWSfe-A?...

I have to say, the choice of charities by the winners was the icing on the cake. #traitors
Prolapse The Rum Shack, Glasgow 30th October 2026 Night three done. Another great set, with lots of stories from Mick. Thanks to the band for allowing me to tag along, and playing some awesome gigs. Looking forward to going through all the photos over the weekend. @prolapseband.bsky.social
Stockholm-adjacent Spacemen 3 fans - this is coming to you in the next few weeks. An exhibition of Spacemen 3 posters and other memorabilia, mainly a project of @dannypassarella.bsky.social, aided by Spacemen Pod co-host Mark Lascelles. Go if you can! (I wish I could.)

I could not agree with Andrea more - if you like guitar psych, which I imagine is why most of you are following me, you will absolutely love @firefriend.bsky.social. Last time they were in the UK, I drove over 200 miles to see them, and would happily have done the same again (no need thankfully).

Revolution by The Spacemen 3 was banned at the Indie Disco in Derbados....due to over enthusiastic "dancing"... so we fought to "Touch me I'm Sick " instead ... not a Football fan insight youtu.be/qdQn7c62zHM?...

Spacemen 3 gig mystery solved! I knew they had played a one-off gig in Paris in the second half of 1988 - the plans are mentioned in a newsletter, there was a look-back piece in a 2022 edition of Les Inrockuptibles, and Will Carruthers writes about the eventful return journey by ferry in his book.
Their finest record - made when they couldn’t even be in the same room as one another.

Listening to the first Elastica album, and struck by the thought that the Carry On-esque couplet "In every little Honda/There may lurk a Peter Fonda - Ooh!" is an absolute triumph.

RNLI heroes in action this afternoon at Whitby. Very tricky manoeuvre, towing and docking a stricken vessel that had lost all power And to think Farage wants them shunned and criminalised
I've mentioned before that my friend @timpieraccini.bsky.social has written a super biography of fictional sixties band The Sweet Pills. I have written a review, far too long for here, have a read on Instagram: www.instagram.com/p/Ddgc8hIjq-3/ Currently available from @weare1of100.bsky.social
