They're really back. And they're really still big babies although they can now fly very well. You should see them still try and get food from the parents' mouths! A cacophony of whistling cries just now.

I started the new job by saying goodbye to the old on LI - I know I know - but the old job's new manager was so petty they wouldn't let us communicate anything to our external users, many of whom I've actually met 🤦

First time in days I see both little gulls together on their roof! They always spent plenty time apart even when tiny, but I'd started to think they were only going to make fleeting visits from now on. Likely they spent time on the roof above my head too! Here's one of them yesterday.

I think my grandmother would still have been in a secretarial job then - before she effectively got to run her husband's business. He did the manual work, she did accounts, appointments, HR (they had employees) and all the commercial stuff. The one part I don't like is they never took holidays.

Little gulls are doing great. Proper little fliers now and I can't really tell how far and how long they can fly for. But they'll stick around for a while, they still depend on their parents a lot for food! They now rule over a huge roof area! Here's one of them with its grown-ups.
