I actively avoid using AI like the plague. I’d rather have my art look terrible, and through practice, hard work, and determination - get better. AI hack jobs will never understand that. Their “work” will always be slop.

It all leads to "what is tokusatsu" dicussions and actual definitions become "GATEKEEPING!" discussions.
Spacepoliceman@spacepoliceman.bsky.social · 4d agoWish they'd be honest and say they like Japanese superheroes instead of tokusatsu. Its quite clear a lot of supposed "tokusatsu fans" in the west don't actually care about tokusatsu as a craft or medium.
Tokusatsu is a binary for a lot of influencers within the online fandom sphere, and its quite detrimental to the craft
