In another life I was a dog trainer so lemme explain "shaping" real quick: it's predicated on the idea of degrees. You want to teach your dog to sit? You do not yell "SIT!" and beat them until it sits down. You say "sit" and wait until the split-second its hips go down. At all, in any way.

I'm so glad these men have been released but Jesus Christ, what a horrific ordeal for all of them. I hope they can all parlay this into staying in the US however long they please (though I wouldn't blame them for flipping us the bird). These men deserve every penny in Trump's pocket.

99% of the antipathy toward the Democratic party is because we're the party of women, Black people, and Jews. The loathing people on the right and so-called left stems almost entirely from this and it's a problem they're going to have to solve one of these days.

The thing that strikes me about this that (so far) I haven't seen anyone discuss: GenZ are constantly bellowing that old politicians should retire or be forced out, but this "micro-retirement" ensures that they themselves will HAVE to work in their old age. The Bove allegations should be treated as something akin to Watergate, or Iran Contra. The administration was attempting to do something they *knew* was illegal (anticipating the courts saying as much), and then trying to COVER IT UP. Only here instead of it being run out of the WH or NSC, it’s DOJ

I get the frustration - I live in NYC and seeing some prominent dems endorse fucking CUOMO has been horrifying - but my dude several democrats just got shot, one of them murdered along with her husband (and dog) for the work they've done, so maybe reconsider the idea that Dems are just cowards
Just once I'd like the dudes I follow who are very performatively into SportsBall once or twice a year to give even the tiniest of shits about women's sports.
honestly does seem like the basic dynamic in american politics right now is that a critical number of voters treat Democrats like their (nagging) mom or their (bitch) wife and treat Republicans like the “cool” dad or husband who is at best a deadbeat
