A fitting episode to have watched on the 1959 Philco Predicta Holiday (Recorded July 3, 2023)

Just an eccentric, dapper bear in spats that loves vintage electronics. https://youtube.com/@spatsbear
I just realized I’ve had my fursuit for 15 years last month. Other than needing a new zipper & new straps for my spats, that’s it in terms of repairs. I wasn’t able to suit during AC due to the heat this year. From the last recent pic, that was from an outing & he just needed a good brushing
Art I had commissioned from @sloppywulf.bsky.social and he finished it coincidentally in time for my birthday today.
I forgot how great this game is, especially the soundtrack. TMNT 3 on the NES came out pretty late in the lifecycle of the NES in 1992. Same cartridge I’ve had, but I haven’t played this in nearly 30 years.
Working from home, I get up to do something, then come back to my chair like this:

At Anthrocon, recorded the entire I’ve Made Too Much Pasta concert on a 1985 portable VHS VCR and compact tube camera (this time with tripod). I’ll eventually have it up on YouTube later in the week. The aesthetic fits perfectly with the music IMO
Anthrocon is next week. Since I drive by the con center, I am seeing them start to prep. We will be there Thursday- Sunday. Not staying at a hotel, just commuting each day. Depending on circumstances, I might fursuit (gonna be 90+) Taking an early 80s tube camera and portable VCR for video.
Dammit… this is my second time playing Donkey Kong Country through all the levels, with the official players guide mind you, and I am still missing bonus areas and I don’t even know where!

Reviewing more Anthrocon footage from 2010, where we went around with 2 PXL2000 cameras (from 1987 that recorded on type 2 90 min audio cassettes, 5-6 minutes per tape side). Here’s @coopertom.bsky.social as Shedz and another cameo by Wild Bill Texas
Going through my Anthrocon 2009 tapes. Wild Bill Texas, RIP

These 2 soundtracks are my all time favorites. The BTTF one was the full soundtrack limited release back in 2009 or so. The other is a very rare TaleSpin one, not by Disney, but the composer Christopher L. Stone (was never for sale) Both give me huge goosebumps to the point of tears at times.
Here is an extremely rare 1982 Zenith 12” black & white TV with a DIGITAL tuner, led display, hifi audio, and full DC restoration which means consistent black levels. There is an even rarer 19” version. I only saw it once 22 years ago in a blurry newspaper clipping, but it does exist.
1964 3M Wollensak portable reel to reel with tube amplifier. I really love reel to reel machines, even portables. So beautiful to look at in operation, with the sound to match. 3M made so really nice portable machines.
Got a CIB Sega Master System. The box isn’t perfect, but everything else looks like it was taken out of the box once 40 years ago, then put right back in. Not a scratch and all plastic film still on everything. Tonight is my first time ever playing a Master System.
