Usually, in my books, someone, somewhere, is a genuine good person, a real hero.... But in this fantasy romance, NO ONE'S A HERO. Everyone has flaws, no one is an ideal example of humanity, and, I think it's incredibly fitting.

A red, cloudy, evening sky, with the words NO ONE is a written in the center, and at the bottom center, a silhouette of superman

Ohhh, it's funny that you mention this because the next Zyearth book is based off a character's journal. XD Matt is basically truthful to a fault. He's not good at lying anyway. If he feels that he can't tell the truth about something, he just leaves it out.

Ebook cover for ‘A Light for the Dead to Follow’ by Rebecca Crunden. Cover image is of a skull surrounded by red-pink flowers. There are vines at the top beside the title. The title font is black and maroon, the name font is white.

That one IS infuriating for exactly that reason yes. (My only criteria for someone being a 'writer' is 'did you put words on a page?') I think it's 'What do you write?' - It's logical, but so broad it's kinda draining. I have a few stock answers to it to keep conversations flowing. #writingA

What’s one question you’re tired of answering as a writer? If I have a book published. Not because someone wants to actually read it, but more so they can classify me as a “real” writer…or not #writingq #WritingCommunity

"Oh, you're an author, anything I'd know?" The question is really, "Are you a household name?" And I'm sorry, grocery store cashier, but I don't think anyone who was would be shopping here. I tend to just say, "Probably not." But they don't like that answer. #writingq #WritingCommunity

"Oh, you're a writer?" 98% of the time when this question comes from strangers, it is so condecending. They don't give a shit, they just want to know if you're a "real" author (tradpub), if they've heard of anything you've done, or how much harder they should judge you for your made up hobby job.

You can find my books pretty much everywhere in paperback, hardcover, large print, ebook, or audiobook, though most bookstores probably need to order in a copy. Since it's a sequential series, you probably want to start with Eyrie (GryphIns 1) and work your way from there =] books2read.com/eyrie

The cover of Eyrie by K. Vale Nagle, Gryphon Insurrection Book One. The artwork, by Jeff Brown, depicts a Cooper's hawk + North American cougar gryphon in a redwood forest leaping through the air with a startled kakapo ground parrot in the background. Zeph, the gryphon, has four feline paws, and kitty ears, but his tail is feathered a bit.

#AwesomeCharacters Maple is definitely the Supreme Cinnamon Roll of my cast. She’s an absolute sweetheart with a bubbly optimism she spreads like sunshine. Even after becoming a mother, she still maintains that warm aura & is a devoted matriarch alongside Orelia. Just don’t ever ask her to cook!🤣

Maple Travaldi, a major heroine in my Faumen War Chronicles series
