received my contributor copy of Under a Malevolent Eye! What I love about this surveillance-themed collection is that, while all of the stories are in some sense topical and political, they use very different SFF/H ideas and approaches.

i understand why AI has people panicking and assessing writing for "tells," but 1) people will have to pry em dashes out of my cold, dead hands 2) if you can't tell my writing is homegrown grammar terrorism, that's on you 3) i'll happily explain my choices if asked. no one but me will enjoy that
