I've worked with a number of people who hire like this and it literally is that easy up to a point they were amazing work environments specifically because my gender was never a part of working there. no one working there was thinking about it.

One thing you can do to make a small difference that adds up over time is, if you're in the position, to hire trans people and refuse to hire bigots. I've done both and it's super fucking easy. You just tell the chuds you're not interested in hiring any shitheads.

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
