Maths teacher

Im looking for decent animations for some typical mechanics problems. Greatest height reached, rods on point of tilting etc.I rely too much on sketching each scenario/hand gestures! Curriculum time is too tight for practical demos and videos rarely show the nuances of the problem in the way I’d like

In #mathstoday overheard a year 10 leaving our Underground Maths ECA say to his pal ‘I’m getting smarter every week!’ 🤩 Can recommend using the website for an extra curricular. Its layout is fun and the resources are ideally scaffolded to allow them do most of the exploring themselves.

Hi maths community. Which ready made Desmos resource does anyone recommend for introducing students to Desmos as a graphing tool? I’m a little tight on time and so am hoping to use one of the 100s that seem already prepared! Thank you.

Year 11 set 4 (IGCSE, aiming for 6s) have been building personalised ‘need to know’ crib sheets this week, alongside any topic revision/past paper practice we’ve done. I promised a ‘neat’ copy at the end of the week in case they weren’t happy with the way their own panned out! #mathstoday
