I know I haven’t been around Bluesky much the past two months, but that’s because I’ve been writing a new novel that ties together America’s Gilded Age, British Imperialism, and Meiji Japan. The first draft is complete. Even if no one ever reads it, it exists and it is mine.

Very grateful that over the last decade we've gotten 6 additional #StarTrek series, and over 260 new episodes that I'll be rewatching and thinking about for the rest of my life.
1. #SpaceCases is also my “show that got away.” I watched every episode in the #90s and was the core demographic 2. Also had a huge crush on Catalina 3. Genuinely feel the S1 finale ranks as one of the best cliffhangers in #scifi along with #TNG BOBW and #DS9 S5: 4. #ParamountPlus do the right thing

Almost no human sports found appeal in the #Klingon Empire after 2293. The one exception was #sumo whose focus on discipline, strength, and ritual was deeply appealing to Klingons. Leagues quickly appeared on Qo’noS and many travelled to Japan to compete professionally (1/2):
