USS Tigerfish NCC-1509-A is the second starship to bear the name after the decommissioning of the Lancaster Class USS Tigerfish. Both ships would be commanded by J.T Carlson, a veteran of the Four Years War. The Tigerfish-A would serve as his Flagship during the last years of the Cold War in 2290.

A great loss for the people who think "real" Star Trek is talking heads saying stuff like "The Klingons were throwing D4's, Raptors, Pterodactyls, Kim'Chis, and even Kum'baY'Ahs at us" while the camera zooms in weirdly on costume & alien makeup details.

Just had a conversation with the owner of a coffee shop where I'm a regular and it broke my heart. He's Nepali so I gave him a heads up about ICE and he said, "I'm a citizen. I've lived here for 29 years. They don't care. They see my dark skin. Then they arrest you or you run and they shoot you."

I'm currently re-reading The Edge of Midnight (2nd Edition), and, as somebody who likes the Starfleet Battles game, and the 1975 Star Trek Technical Manual, seeing Stephen Cole and Franz Joseph get a loving shout-out was a real treat. These geeks know the assignment. @eomproject.bsky.social

Every Chapter or promotional piece that drops for EoM means another 20-30 minutes of me feverishly reading and cross referencing some of the best work ever done for Trek fiction. I do still hold out hope one day for a Robert Powell-esk narration of the whole thing. Anyone got a line to him??
