"I want second chances for people, for people who've learned their lessons, for people who are showing that they know what they did was wrong. "What I don't want to see is early release of people who have no contrition whatsoever, who don't care, and who are going to be out on the streets actually harming people.

Everywhere should be a hostile place for Republicans. They should not be able to find a friend anywhere. They should lose all their professional and familial relationships. They should be blocked from signing up to social media platforms, clubs, and yard sales. They should be ejected from fairs.

I’m one of those people. Had a few grand from when my grandparents passed away, so paid for a private diagnosis after my GP agreed that I likely had it and put me on the NHS waiting list. And yes, meds have been a *huge* help and have been life-changing, but it’s not like I’m breezing through!

anecdotally, everyone I know who has managed to get an ADHD diagnosis - all of whom have had to scrape the money together to go privately because the waiting list is 18 years or some shit - have found the diagnosis and the meds generally life-changing. huge improvements in quality of life

Yes lockdown was really tough for kids. Lots of those kids are teenagers now so maybe as a thank you our establishments could stop deliberately making even more things worse for them due to a weird systemic hatred of our own youth
