I was nearby Asker, my hometown in Norway, so I stopped by the old neighborhood. Of course, a bunch of things have changed, not for the better. This is my childhood home. It used to be stained dark brown wood, but someone had the bad idea to paint it all white. 🤮

When I’m at home at the farmhouse, the front door stays wide open all day. It’s lovely and the Norwegian bugs politely stay outside.

The CEOs aren't smarter than you. They're not making rational, savvy decisions on behalf of shareholders, customers, and employees. They're entitled idiots with their heads up their own asses, endlessly siphoning the fruits of other people's ideas and labor. And they're usually criminals, tbh.

Went out picking berries with some friends today. We gathered multe (cloudberries) and blåbær (wild blueberries). Norwegian families have their secret multe plots that they usually don’t share with outsiders.

Living alone in the forest, it’s a bit disturbing when all of a sudden you hear voices. I thought someone was randomly coming to my house. Then I realized it must be someone looking at the cabin for sale next door. Apparently, it was the owners of one of the two cabins further down the street.

Welp, yesterday we had one of the hardest rainstorms I’ve ever experienced in my life and today, the road is partially washed out. 😤 The road is still passable, but there are a couple of dicey spots. For the most part, there are deep furrows where the ruts were (mainly on the steepest parts).

Wow! It’s thundering in Eidsvoll, Norway right now. Thunder is rare in Norway because Norway doesn’t have the kind of summer heat that creates instability in the atmosphere, which causes thunder. Another result of climate change?
