Running for Mayor with COPE. Power to the people.

"Call it democracy, or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country for all God's children." —Martin Luther King, Jr.

Its time we accept that our governments don’t view housing as a human right. They do respect property rights, as we saw when ABC councillors expressed empathy for home owners facing negative impacts from the Villages Plan. But in the same week, renters at Myron Manor were given zero consideration.

Today ABC voted to displace a building of renters for hotel, many of whom are low income seniors who will not find replacement housing in their n’hood. A community who looks out for each other, gone. Like so many before them. This is not the Council decision causing the most angst on my timeline.

A toxic beach is bad for everyone - homeowners, renters, tourists, and obviously our wildlife. Don’t let big oil ruin Vancouver. Let’s join the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and COPE Councillor @seanorrofficial and RESIST development without protections for our residents and our environment.

We need people. If you live in BC, and have an hour or two to spare in a month, we need your help! We need help with: - putting up posters - writing emails - doing online research - making posters, leaflets - making videos If you can do any of them, please reply/DM

Amazing night talking to voters before the new Boots Riley film ‘I Love Boosters’ and then meeting the genius himself. Cuz when art meets the political moment, powered by the people, we will change the world. ✊🏽❤️✌🏽

Lowering the costs to market developers/builders *without* making it a requirement that these savings are passed on to renters/buyers will just create a better profit margin for investors. I havent seen any such requirements from city/provincial/federal cost cutting programs.
