Celebrating 50 this year by throwing a party with three of my bands at the White Squirrel: Big Trouble, 120 Minutes and Catfish Blue — my high school band from Massachusetts. Come one, come all.

Feel like @hunterfelt.bsky.social doesn’t even need a billion to start posting that.
People are always like, "If I had a billion dollars, I'd log off and never post again!" But that's not true. You'd get bored of your money in six months and log back on like, "Here's my ranking of every Frank Zappa song that mentions poodles."
A week out from year three of the Fort Road Folk Fest! Music 1-midnight, we hit at 4 on the patio stage w/ guest guitar slinger @steventurous.bsky.social

Had the absolute pleasure of seeing Glen Hansard fronting The Frames at the 400 Bar back in 2005. He exuded joy and will be missed.
Student drew a great creature based on a chord diagram. We named him Fred Board.
The drums on “Lapdance” from the first N.E.R.D. album are still some of my favorite drums of all time.
Spymob is back! I interviewed them for The Current. www.thecurrent.org/feature/2026...
There was a pod where @iankarmel.bsky.social likened someone to a pillowcase full of lotion and Ross Douthat is the most pillowcase-full-of-lotion looking guy.
Breaking News: Ross Douthat, The New York Times opinion columnist, is joining CBS News’s “60 Minutes” in one of the first major hires since Bari Weiss’s takeover.
They should end this façade and just label all Spindrift flavors as "Grapefruit."

It’s so hot in the Twin Cities that it’s now like too cold in air conditioned places. Las Vegas Summer League vibes.
‘Bout to send this lil ass dachshund to the Uno equivalent of the Shadow Realm
This is Sampson. He's about to get hit with a vicious draw 2. Has no idea. Poor fella. 12/10
Wilson’s translation is my favorite of several I’ve read and I agree with most of her criticisms here. A better movie than the one we got is definitely possible. But, I also enjoyed the experience of seeing it, twice, and I think the practical effects alone make it a worthy blockbuster.
‘Nolan has read at least the first line of my translation of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘥𝘺𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘺 into iambic pentameter. In one interview, he cited my version of it: “Tell me about a complicated man.” But I would be ashamed to have written any part of this script.’ New, by Emily Wilson www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...
