Was hoping the Venus in Scorpio transit would make me (Scorpio venus retrograde native) extra sexy and magnetic but unfortunately it’s really only boosting the thirst for Vengeance. Any Vengeance really. Will report in as things progress

One could argue that as the most widely read genre, romance is most deserving of care and attention, a refusal to concede to bland extruded text from the Average Intelligence machine. The potential to reach the greatest number of readers with your art, with your intellect, can be through romance.

What the fuck, Joyce. I don’t even read romance novels but this kind of thinking pisses me the fuck off. It further pushes that mentality that some books as “lesser” which is bullshit! All books count!

This is why Al-generated romance novels make perfect sense. Formulaic fiction doesn't need to be written by hand, so to speak; what difference does it make if a machine "writes" it? There are machine-made clothes & there are custom-made clothes. They appeal to different consumers.

If want men to read more (and I think more men should, because reading is one of the greatest pleasures and most enriching things for a body) you’ve gotta stop bullying them for “performative” reading in public and thirst trapping with books on IG. Keep it moving and let him have fun.

Every American citizen deserves access to the level of personal privacy and data security Donna Tartt maintains. I don't know how she's doing it beyond being incredibly discrete and litigious; at this point it's almost performance art. It's damn inspiring

Venus retrograde can bring challenges in love, but as a Venus Scorpio retrograde native, I can attest she also brings deep and committed love that is unorthodox, custom-built, a little unfathomable to outsiders.

Get well soon to everyone else who is about to experience a Venus retrograde in Scorpio but for me…..that’s my natal placement baby. A placement so intense it has led me to Venusian devotional work, a career writing gothic novels, and some gorgeously intense love affairs. Have fun!

"sapphic" includes bi women who may experience attraction to men alongside attraction to women. if you're reading a "sapphic" book you should expect love between women, but perhaps not to the exclusion of men on the periphery. Not everything is for you. That doesn't make it false advertising

As a bisexual genderqueer artist, I often find stronger reflections of myself in historical queer figures who defy easy categorization or labels than in modern ones. We have always existed and we have always been fluid, crossing and re-crossing category lines, impossible to forget or to define.

The reason Finley/Eileen toxic friends to lovers thing in SAVAGE BLOOMS goes so crazy is because Eileen is insane she can never be Daddy's (literal) favorite boy and Finley is insane he will never be Daddy's (nonliteral) legitimate heir, and the two of them bang about it. That's the secret sauce
