BREAKING: After the Washington Post fired me last year for speaking the truth in the wake of the Charlie Kirk killing, I fought back. And I'm happy to announce: I won my case against the Washington Post. They have been ordered to reinstate me immediately. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/24/b...

Washington Post Ordered to Rehire Fired Columnist Karen Attiah

An arbitrator ordered the newspaper to reinstate Karen Attiah, who was fired after posting about “white men who espouse hatred and violence” following Charlie Kirk’s killing.

Natalie Harp, to foreign intelligence agencies, is a juicy target. Get something into her fringey online info streams, she won’t care if it’s true as long as it falters him or insults people he hates, she might show it to the president, he’ll likely believe it, maybe even make policy based on it.

It should be bigger news that Natalie Harp reportedly dug up the image that Trump posted of the Obamas as apes. On the pod, @greene.haus is great on how Harp debases our country—and all of us. "It’s degrading and sordid to be governed this way," he says. Listen: newrepublic.com/article/2146...

When you appoint reality TV people to the most important positions of the government running massive federal agencies, don’t be surprised when they treat the job like a reality TV show starring themselves while we pay them and the expenses.

Remember when journalists actually did their jobs? 😄 Flock Safety, the company building a gigantic network of surveillance cameras across America, held its Flock Forward conference. Journalists bought tickets. Flock banned them from attending. That was probably a mistake. 🧵 #flock #journalism

Just a public service announcement from this nice fella, Sean Gatz. Sounds like there are quite a few Flock cameras being vandalized these days. Many people aren't fans of the government spying on them, evidently. Don't get caught breaking the law, Y'all. 😉

💥 ICE drag mom & teen daughter out of hospital room—in middle of being treated after car accident. Still wearing hospital gowns. Both victims of car collusion, with asylum case pending in good standing & valid work permit. Grace Calero 39, & Giulianna Carriel 19, from Ecuador.

His brother says Pirela's work permit was valid through 2029. He entered legally, sought asylum, and remains in ICE custody as removal proceedings continue — apart from his wife and two children, ages 9 and 4.

It’s worse than this. Having been in the room with many of them (long ago, before I knew they were psychopaths), the tycoons who are left running the industry have an active contempt for ordinary people, including their own workers. They actively want to oppress, control and punish them.

Tech execs do not have, like, a theory of mind for people who aren’t tech execs. If they did, they wouldn’t be so frequently baffled by how repulsive normal people think their whole deal is right now

Reporter on Bond Market: The yields have come back up since then. Have you talked to Bessent about another type of intervention.? Trump: The ultimate intervention is our military. And if we have to use that, we will.

NEW: The GOP has put two nearly-identical measures on the ballot in North Dakota and South Dakota. Both would raise the threshold for future amendments from 50 to 60%. This comes as ballot measures in both states have been successfully used to get around GOP lawmakers — e.g. to expand Medicaid.

"Disrespectful for Voters": The Dakotas Weigh Raising the Bar for Direct Democracy - Bolts

Frustrated that voters are bypassing the legislatures they control, the GOP is pushing two ballot measures this fall in North Dakota and South Dakota to require a supermajority to amend the state cons...

This is not misinformation. That's what I normally cover - something out of context, an opinion quoted as fact, or a deliberate misinterpretation... This is none of those. This is full-on disinformation. Because that is NOT from the Express. It is entirely fake😱 🧵 1/10

Burnham's big migration plan: take 4,000 stranded migrants from Ceuta, bring them to the UK and put them up in luxury hotels. Americans look at Europe in despair.

Here's a fun little dive into corporate astroturfing in the USA: There's an "organization" called Neighbors for Strong Communities that lists no board members, staff or funders. The address on their website is a nondescript black door in Washington, DC next to an Italian restaurant. Seems legit!

Passive voice is working overtime here. Trump cut taxes and started the war in Iran which have both massively ballooned the debt. NY Times makes it seem these things randomly happened and have “undercut” his plans to reduce the debt.

In a new filing, Trump DOJ reveals that there's an NPS email showing peeling due to overspray in the section of the pool relevant to the David Hearn case. It's dated June 11, more than a week before Hearn's arrest. They still want dismissal *without* prejudice, even though their case is gutted.

Russians struck a minibus in Kherson with an FPV drone, killing 4 people and injuring 5 others. Their "human safari" in Kherson and across the frontline has reached unprecedented levels. They hunt and kill civilians 24/7.
