#MetaQuest made app filtering and sorting worse in the new Quest Navigator. I used to be able to filter to installed apps AND sort them A-Z or by recent use. Now I have to choose one or the other. With 1,000+ apps in my library, that’s a step backward.

I spent several days with FitXR's latest update before writing this piece. Journey is the headline feature, but I also came away impressed by the revamped sound design, Profile Levels, and Oceana. My latest hands-on look:👇
FitXR on Quest now has 'Journey', a personalized recommendation system designed to help you spend less time searching for workouts and more time exercising. Read our impressions here: www.uploadvr.com/fitxr-journe...
I came away from ArtQuest VR wanting to visit more museums. It turns out that was exactly what creator Eric Mosinger hoped would happen. My latest for @uploadvr.com 👇
Unable to find the virtual museum experience he wanted, Eric Mosinger built it himself. That idea eventually grew into ArtQuest VR, one of VR's most ambitious virtual museums:
I spent time with FunFitLand’s SwingFit preview and spoke with the team behind it. My latest feature looks at the new workout mode, the company’s growing wellness ambitions, and where FunFitLand fits into today’s VR fitness landscape. 👇
FunFitLand's new SwingFit mode is the latest entrant into the flow-based VR fitness category. After going hands-on with the public preview, we're convinced it truly stands on its own:
I thought I understood the Temple of Dendur when I visited The Met in New York City. It turns out I didn’t. My latest for UploadVR looks at how The Met is using immersive technology to tell stories beyond the museum walls. The experiences are free. If you try them, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is extending its reach beyond New York with a new immersive experience bringing the iconic Temple of Dendur to Quest headsets and the web. Read our impressions here: www.uploadvr.com/the-mets-imm...
I recently spoke with immersive creator Marc Zimmermann about Realms of Flow, the evolution of the project over time, and the role atmosphere, music, and environmental design play in shaping immersive experiences. Latest piece on @uploadvr.com 👇
VR experience Realms of Flow focuses on atmosphere, immersion, and the feeling of being transported. Read our impressions here: www.uploadvr.com/how-realms-o...

Supernatural's future looked uncertain after Meta halted new content earlier this year. Today's announcement points in a very different direction.

I had a lot of fun with this one. It was the subtle spatial depth and parallax that made locations feel a little more present in VR. My latest for UploadVR digs into WorldLens VR’s new AI-powered 3D Street View feature 👇
WorldLens VR has introduced a new AI-powered feature on Quest that adds subtle 3D depth to Google Street View environments. Details here: www.uploadvr.com/worldlens-vr...
Immersive concerts may end up being one of VR180’s strongest long-term use cases. The Goo Goo Dolls concert in Horizon TV really clicked: atmosphere, scale, lighting, and proximity to performers all working to create the experience - and you're there on stage with them. New piece for UploadVR 👇
Quest owners have another immersive concert to check out in Horizon TV, this time featuring the Goo Goo Dolls performing at New York City’s historic Beacon Theatre. Read our impressions here: www.uploadvr.com/metas-goo-go...
Spent some time with Outside The Lines VR and came away impressed with how thoughtfully designed it is. Simple VR coloring app focused on comfort and accessibility. My latest UploadVR review 👇 www.uploadvr.com/outside-the-...
Outside The Lines VR Review: A Simple Coloring App That’s Easy To Settle Into
Outside The Lines VR is a relaxed, accessible virtual reality coloring app built around simplicity, comfort, and low-friction design.

The 15” MacBook Air is actually a pretty stunning value. Compare to the first Retina display MacBook Pro, which was super high end when it launched.
💪Spent real time with all of these VR fitness apps. 🥊 None replace my main apps, but I keep coming back to each of them for different reasons. There’s a real “best of the rest” layer in VR fitness that doesn’t get enough attention.
Looking for a VR workout without a monthly fee? Hitstream, X-Fitness, Boxing Fitness, and Punch Fit are solid apps for when you just want to hit something. Read our impressions here:
Spent some time with FitXR’s new Flow Studio. Feels less like a new feature and more like something built to keep a routine going. Makes a lot of sense if you’re unsure about Supernatural long term. And takes advantage of FitXR's rich art style. www.uploadvr.com/fitxr-builds...
FitXR Builds Flow Studio As VR Fitness Users Look For What’s Next
FitXR introduced a new mode called Flow Studio, expanding its lineup of workout offerings that already includes Boxing, Combat, HIIT, Sculpt, Dance, Zumba, and Slam.

With all the NASA Artemis excitement, I figured I’d work from the “captain’s seat” today. I’m not a developer or engineer. Just someone who tried this and realized virtual screens are the way. This is already changing how I work. Not someday. Right now. #normalizeVR
The VR version of the best hobbies are only a decade old and face a tremendous marketing problem. They have to reach fans of the hobby where they play or congregate, adding targeting costs while (as lone devs) simultaneously building core features. www.goodvirtualreality.com/p/first-time...

Episode 3 of my podcast is up. I hadn’t used virtual screens until I tried Vision Pro when it first came out. That changed pretty quickly. Got me thinking about what Apple actually did here. Curious how others see it. Listen: open.spotify.com/episode/0Zps...

New piece is up on UploadVR. Beat The Beats by @parallelcircles.bsky.social isn’t really a straight fitness app or a pure rhythm game. It kind of sits in between, and that’s what makes it interesting. 👀👇
The full release of Beat The Beats settles into a middle ground between a rhythm game and a boxing-style workout, combining elements of both into a cohesive experience: www.uploadvr.com/beat-the-bea...
Episode 2 of my podcast is up. I just hit 104 straight weeks hitting my VR fitness goals. Two years. It got me thinking about why VR fitness seems to actually stick for people in a way a lot of other VR use cases don’t. Curious if others feel similar? Listen at link below 👇
Sometimes there’s no substitute for the right tool. My father-in-law “loaned” me this chainsaw years ago knowing full well it probably wasn’t coming back. Thinking about him today.
Good chapter header here from Mark Schramm for a potential book about VR. You could do much worse as far as personal missions go, just: Build Cool Shit
This was a fun one! Got a bit sentimental towards the end, but ya, I really meant what I said in regards as to why so many of us are still in #VR. We really love the medium and just want to build cool shit. Thanks @ianhamilton.net for having me on!
Most esports involve watching people behind monitors. At a Global Gaming League event, the main event was VR boxing in Thrill of the Fight 2. It raises an interesting question: can VR actually work as a spectator sport? I wrote about it for UploadVR 🥊
At a recent Global Gaming League event, competitors threw punches in The Thrill of the Fight 2, turning the VR boxing game into a live, physical spectacle for a cheering audience. Details here: www.uploadvr.com/the-thrill-o...
