i have ADHD and struggle with object permanence when i don't regularly see something, or have reminders abt it. food goes bad, items get lost, hobbies die, etc the same unfortunately extends to people. i've developed systems to remind myself sometimes, but it's a deliberate effort.

I regularly check in with people and the lack of same makes me think that I'm weird. Do many people do this? And if they do, am I just not interesting or do I owe someone a response or? I am sure this was a useful trait in prehistory.
