Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
Trump talks tough from inside his Truth Social bubble, but suddenly has nothing to say when he's actually in California. While the president uses LA to raise campaign cash, survivors of last year's firestorms are waiting for him to finally deliver federal relief to recover.
Trump's visit to California was a total snoozer. Very low energy. No speech. He could barely take a question on the tarmac. Night night, Grandpa!

Africa's malaria map is already shifting due to climate change
For a quarter century, researchers and public health officials have debated exactly how climate change is reshaping malaria’s spread. A new study finally resolves that debate with the most comprehensive assessment yet, and the answer turns out to be more nuanced than a simple worse-or-better verdict. The research quantifies climate change’s historical and future impact on malaria across sub-Saharan Africa’s children, where the vast majority of cases and deaths occur. Overall, the study has found that climate change has slightly increased malaria to date. But looking ahead, that overall trend hides a sharp geographic divide. Rising temperatures could increase malaria risk in southern and East Africa while reducing it in today’s hardest-hit regions, where conditions may become too hot for mosquitoes to survive. A disease on the move “Climate change isn’t just making malaria worse or better – it’s moving it,” said co-author Tamma Carleton, an assistant professor at the University of California, Berkeley. “Whether a place sees elevated malaria risks or reduced burdens under climate change depends on how hot it is today. We see relief in the current hotspots and new risk nearly everywhere else.” Thus, climate change isn’t applying uniform pressure across the continent. It’s redrawing the...

After yesterday's infographic, this seemed the next obvious one to write. I used AI tools when writing this post, including a spell checker. I also used 50 years of experience writing about these issues. The drawing was the smallest part of all that, and I had no budget to do it any other way.
As he damn well should. And shame on you, #BadEnoch for bigging him up and endorsing him. #JoshuaBonehillPaine BBC News - Ex neo-Nazi activist withdraws as #Tory election candidate www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Amazon made £555 MILLION in profit in the UK last year, but only paid a fraction of what they should in tax. Jeff Bezos is rubbing his hands together, avoiding tax, while we pay our dues. Don't think that's right? Sign the petition now.
Last week a quietly dependable aqua lady was a no show on Monday. WhatsApp'd her as unusual. Having back pain so not up to class. On Weds she tried to get GP appointment. Offered 21st Aug, but told to try 08.30.Thurs for urgent 1. Seen, sent for X rays. Bloods haywire. Admitted to hospital that day.
