Maybe because I'm a stupid American, but I've never understood how all these investigations into MPs automatically stop when they resign, then spend a few years infecting some other domain with absurd reactionary nonsense funded by dark money and then they eventually return as a Peer

This ex-Labour MP quit, avoiding a sexual harassment investigation; set up an opaquely funded “anti-extremism” campaign that was all over TV and radio in a general election urging the public to vote Tory; was then given a peerage (a non-job for life in the legislature) by Tory leader Boris Johnson…

It's extremely ass chapping to think about 18,661 writers were paid a collective $14.7 million by the government in 2025, while 44 AI companies will get $1.5M EACH to teach themselves to rip off the things that us authors write.
