Brilliant article from Mic outlining the body of work Liddle should ultimately be judged by. A man whose columns were often defined by bigotry, cruelty and punching down, yet he kept his platform across three major newspapers. However you try to frame it, Liddle was a deeply unpleasant prick!

These guys are freaking out over their own imaginations again.

I have come to realize something important about the internal autistic experience that I think needs to become a serious focus of autism advocacy. Being misunderstood is not just an annoying side effect of being different for autistic people... It actually hurts us.

This is mostly a good rule except in extreme cases or where public figures are involved. In those cases disregarding this rule is a social necessity.
