We gotta reclaim the progressive label from people like this, Connie Chan and that whole wing of SF politics… It makes me feel like words have no meaning, you can’t oppose bike infrastructure & housing and own the progressive name 😭

Prop G: Take Back the Great Highway

Harry S. Pariser argues that Proposition G would reopen San Francisco’s Upper Great Highway on weekdays, restore public access and push back against the Sunset Dunes conversion.

Well it was a great day to bike on sunset dunes & car free jfk with the 4yo. We’re lucky to have those safe paths & I hope more people get to experience this here & beyond! Even if it means less parking

There is no more effective way to reduce car driving than reducing the amount of parking available. It is by far the best way to protect the environment, fight climate change, and improve mobility by any other mode. Every parking space that is removed from this earth is a policy victory.

A. It's a small parking lot & usually full. B. The bike lane doesn't go to the school unless it was another block south. C. Most shoppers buy far more than an ebike carries, are elderly, or come a far distance. D. Literally the only beneficiaries are a small # of bikers. No one else in the community

There’s a constant stream of what I think are sooty shearweather birds flying by ocean beach… must be hundreds of thousands of them, it’s very cool! My iPhone camera can’t catch them at all though…

If you really squint there’s a dark band a bit beyond the breakers that’s just a lot of birds

🚨 🚨 🚨 NEW: A shocking @USCIS memo seems to declare that hundreds of thousands of immigrants living in this country and applying for green cards must instead apply for visas abroad; which could MASSIVELY disrupt lives. 🧵 on what we know, and what we don’t.

Policy Memorandum
SUBJECT: Adjustment of Status is a Matter of Discretion and Administrative Grace, and an Extraordinary Relief that Permits Applicants to Dispense with the Ordinary Consular Visa Process
Purpose
This memorandum reminds officers and the public that adjustment of status under section 245 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) is a matter of discretion and administrative grace not designed to supersede the regular consular processing of immigrant visas. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reaffirms this consistent and longstanding approach and declares as a matter of general policy its intention to faithfully apply the statutes consistently with this understanding.

Got to watch a waymo run 2 red lights in a row this morning… Classic move of accelerating through a yellow & crossing the intersection after it switched to red. So, probably not long before they hit someone again :(

Google maps screenshot annotated with the path of the waymo in red & Xs where it ran the red lights.

We are in West Portal supporting the family and friends of Diego, Matilde, Joaquin, and Cauê in holding a vigil tonight in remembrance of the lives cut short two years ago. This was one of the most tragic pedestrian crashes in our city's history and our hearts are forever broken.

We’re back. Two weeks ago, a driver killed a 2 year-old child at 4th and Channel—the third pedestrian fatality of 2026. Since then, all SFMTA has done was repaint the existing crosswalks for a photo op. So the community took matters into our own hands.

At home in the dark during SF’s massive blackout last month, as journalist @idamoj.bsky.social scrambled to save food, she also wondered how we got here. It’s too simple to cast PG&E as the only villain, she argues: Why aren’t we talking about the CPUC? www.coyotemedia.org/in-the-dark-...
