Off sick today and the book I’m reading is uniquely bad and I am too tired to do much else, send help
Have broken my own 2026 rule and bought craft stuff. I was only supposed to work on projects I already have ☹️ admittedly I HAD this pattern, I just needed, you know. Yarn. And as always: a different set of circular needles to the many many many I already own.
New flowers delivery day, love to buy myself flowers every few weeks. Put them in my vase shaped like a giant strawberry.
Realised ten minutes in that I didn’t actually have to watch Jared Leto in masters of the universe (or in fact anything) so pivoted to time bandits, which I haven’t seen in about 30 years
had a nightmare that someone had upended my cutlery drawer and put all the knives in the teaspoon container
small but important tragedy that happened earlier: put off milk in my tea because I forgot the milk was off and I'd put it back in the fridge to deal with later
i first met sam neill in the late 80's on the set of jeremy brett's sherlock holmes. i think it was manchester studios. he and jeremy were pals. i was moving a light wi'out gloves cause i'm a tosser. i burned my hand. yelled "FUCK!" jeremy came right over, sam (who was visiting) in tow. (1/4)
Watching sewing bee and, as always, I’m developing some very strong (-) initial feelings about some of these sewers
Were I an incredibly rich author I would simply live my life in a way that meant I did not have to send legal threats to Amnesty International.
I finished it and it’s NICE but woooooffff it’s insipid, I hope they still like it despite the colours being so nothing

But let’s just say it won’t be… vivid)
I’ve just seen a woman sat outside Greggs fanning herself with a pasty. I love this country.

Just please drop the social conservatism and stop trying to slash welfare. If it’s going to circle back to that stuff I don’t want to hear it, I’ve heard enough
And he’s not going to do anything to stem the tide of anti trans legislation, all three leader options are awful

Sorry, Middlemarch lovers, but I will never be one of you. I still have 200 pages left and the greatest thing I can say of this experience is that I will never have to read it again. Should never have doubted my first reading experience of it (hated it but had to read it for 13 hours on a coach)
