once i went to see a japanese movie with a japanese friend of mine and the first scene some guy jumps in front of the tokyo train tracks and my friend leaned into me totally seriously and said "that is very japanese"

1) I think this is one of the best TV music performances of all time, and it's for Ellen DeGeneres digital platform; 2) it's extremely fun to think about the studio audience for this; and 3) the worst modern talk show live performance I've ever heard is the other time Parquet Courts were on Ellen.
