First time I’ve ever seen a stuck iPhone. It stopped accepting touch input. Neighbor pressed various buttons to force a restart and placed an emergency call instead. Yikes. Came to my door for help. It’s damn hard to operate an iPhone with zero touch/gesture input. Restart? It just can’t even.

The last day or so I mentally pulled back from remote-response-mode to the #Spokane fires. Sat+Sun I got flooded w memories of fire recovery. My POV is rear view mirror since Eaton Fire. For Spokane, it’s the road ahead. It still smarts. I don’t want to trauma dump on people in shock+crisis.

At the dining table today: I hop between posts in FB for Eaton Fire groups (thanks to Marshall Fire survivors for helping us out) as group discusses inviting ppl from Spokane in, and I invite my friend. Himself writing emails re getting all ducts in a row (literally) on Final Remediation Steps…
In Spokane, Brick Buy Brick says we are drop off spot for supplies for fire-displaced— diapers, toiletries, non perishable foods, etc A surreal juxtaposition—in same hour I get txts re stuff in storage from Altadena standing home (home+stuff remediated +new flooring, paint). Soon to reinhabit home.

Rather than brute-forcing GenAI to do everything, I like Mike's augmentation approach.
