I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

Has anyone written about the implications for the history of sexuality of our increasingly forced use of AI as a research tool? Historians of sexuality can't really access a lot of AI tools because of content prohibitions. What does that mean for the field, if anything?

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. After months of delays, troubleshooting, service calls, and more troubleshooting, our brand new flow cytometer finally became usable… Three days ago. We leave for Botany on Thursday. At least our data will be fresh??? 😬😅

This is one of the most beautiful cross sections of cilia I've ever seen in our data, found by @csigulinsky.bsky.social. It is perfectly perpendicular to the plane of imaging which brings up an important point ~ connectomics. You gotta have enough resolution to see the important things. 2nm/px FTW!

Granted, I'm not in a case-study-heavy discipline, but there seems to be a huge, problematic gulf between anonymizing or fictionalizing personal details to protect patient confidentiality and having carte-blanche to fictionalize key facts of the case? What a recipe for misuse, as we see here!
