Just had this video pop up as a reminder of "on this day". I love how wholesome it is, Swizzels as a kit, very over excited, helping Suzanne cut up ferret treats. We buy these knotted Chicken & Duck chews from B&M, un-knot them, then cut them into small bits for the ferrets, who love them.

Rhubarb is/was a complete part of life, from his kisses in the morning, he loved his morning fuss, and would sulk if we were in a hurry. Or it could be night time, he's had his fill and his tummy is full and curled up in our bed making me smile when I pull the duvet cover back, or he would help me
Sleeping was always better when Custard could cuddle one of his mums socks.
When that big scary ferret comes over for the day & steals your favourite window hammock. Poor Bumble is not amused at Waffle rubbing all over his bed.
1 /16 Today, Boost collected his brother, Fuse, the other 'Evil Twin'. They were 'summoned' on the 17th of April 2020, & found their 'fiendish forever lair' here on the 18th of May 2020. After more than 6 yrs honing their craft, I really dread to think of the chaos that will be taking...

On this day in 2010, I went to rescue a ferret living under a lean-to behind someone's greenhouse, she had been fighting off the foxes & badgers for the scraps the house owner threw out. She was young & very hungry, but grateful for a safe place to sleep. This was Ripple on her first evening here

I wonder how often they do these "wellness exams"? So many ferrets seem to be dying under anaesthetic, for simple ops & check ups making owners question it, I wonder what the risks are to truly exotic animals like the wolverine? Do they use a safer anaesthetic?

When Fuse & Boost arrived, this was them every waking hour, it carried on until Boost passed away 2 years ago. Fuse is still here, having been given a second life by a great vet in Ashford, but is showing his age. He's still a scrappy little monster at nearly 7 years old, but enjoys more sleep. 🥰🐾
