Another email impersonating me, this time emailing an author I admire but don't know, praising their work, and asking to swap craft ideas. Seems to be AI generated. What is the goal of these? Unsure, but the effect is that you need to verify every bit of contact you have--or think you're having.

I hereby request proportional refunds from all the companies that sell expensive products in pump bottles that make it impossible to pump out the final ounce. Either that, or payment for the time this child of war and Depression survivors has spent extracting such product in order to use it.

My advice to other journalists: at a minimum, whenever you’re reporting what DHS claims happened you can also mention how they’ve been proven wrong or speaking in bad faith recently

Just a reminder that nobody should believe anything ICE or the DOJ says. They have lied and smeared again and again. Every statement they make should be treated as suspect at a minimum. That is very dislocating for media, and for the general public.

I keep thinking about how the people of Minneapolis already went through so much in the last six years and now have to survive ICE's mass brutality across the city. Melissa Hortman, her husband, and their dog were assassinated less than a year ago last June.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person. People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
