Those of us who have been forced to sell our parents' house to pay eye-watering fees for care understand the desperate need for a national care service. My experience of it was nearly 20 years ago. I dread to think what the costs are now. I'd rather have free care than slightly more pension.
I could not care less if self-anointed genius tech bros pour all their assets into pet nerdy projects - be it AI or Mars. But they're using our resources - our water, our energy, our raw materials & rare earths. These do not belong to single individuals, but all of us. Why do govts allow this?
