It's been so long since the Mets were playing fine AND my schedule allowed me to watch baseball games live that I genuinely forgot what it felt like to see the mets pull victory out of the jaws of defeat and be left with the post-game fuzzies.

We need a special trophy for when a show fails the Bechdel Test, but you had multiple scenes where dozens of women were in a room together. At some point it becomes statistically impressive that you still managed to make it entirely about men.
It seems like most of the Naruto filler arcs have exactly half of an interesting idea (what if there was a scent-following beetle that could perfectly track, what if there were two nihilists who complimented each others' weaknesses, et c.) but don't attempt to follow through on the idea at all.

It's honestly crazy how much dk64 rekongpiled takes a game that had so many little issues that it was miserable to play, and suddenly makes it fine and possible to appreciate genuinely the most transformative recomp in history
working on a theory that there is an inverse relationship between the quality of a fantasy game's writing and how heavily it features generic "bandits" whose only motivation is yum yum love evil and robbing
I love how Sakura and Hinata both get filler arcs to try and fix their low self esteem where the arc basically confirms they suck. Hinata at least gets to save face by soloing the opposing force at the end...using a jutsu Neji superceded 36 episodes ago. Oops.
William Gibson. I remember being told "go read Neuromancer, it's a classic!" and being stunned how viscerally disgusted he is by women, by disabled people, by anyone who gets a tattoo, by anyone who does drugs...really anyone who isn't a white suburban guy. He is also the ur-Thing, Japan guy.

FACT: "Turn A Gundam"'s name was, in fact, inspired by Turnelius A Gundam, a janitor whom Tomino happened to run into once. He was inspired by the fact that somehow, Turnelius only had a single letter as his middle name, quoted as saying "what the fuck, is that legal???"
There is culpability in the late 90s early 00s rock musicians who decided that giving children medication is a bad thing and is a sign of our “degenerate” society. They were the spiritual tastemakers of that time. And now anti-medicine rhetoric is killing people, particularly those kids.
If you see something like this it's your signal to not buy from there. If they're too lazy to put up some black plastic letters then they're too lazy to serve sanitary food. Never correct your opponent in the middle of a mistake.

I kinda wish there was a discrete phrase, as succinct as Rule Zero or Session Zero, that simply means "the designer has decided to not solve this problem mechanically and is relying on the table culture and the de facto leader to solve it socially". Solution Zero I guess.
YouTube is (inconsistently) demonetizing AI content, Spotify is going to stop pushing AI music, games studios are getting blasted for AI use, publishers are (inconsistently) killing book deals based on AI accusations, corpos are limiting token due to no proven ROI... But "AI's inevitable."

You really will just throw on a golden age hollywood movie, stuff that was considered B- material at the time, and it'll be better than almost anything made today. The Vikings (1958) isn't *fine cinema* but somehow this Hays Code popcorn film is less afraid of what people think than anything today.
There are MULTIPLE "protect two moderates who are having a meeting while radicals try to kill them" missions in this franchise. The worst thing you can be in Ace Combat is young and believe in something. 7's moral is that if politics went away, we could come together and solve everything.
