Kevin Gausman, Daulton Varsho and Jeff Hoffman helped give #BlueJays fans a lifetime of baseball memories in a short time. There were a dozen sliding doors moments in the World Series, and Hoffman shouldered an absurdly unfair share of the criticism. I hope they crush it for their new teams.
When I was growing up, there were constant reminders, from the people around you and the media we consumed, that athletes were mostly dum-dums. Don’t look to them for smarts, just enjoy the game. Now they go on podcasts & say the most apesh*t nonsense and host is like “that’s a good one!”

He spent only 5 seasons in a Blue Jays uniform, but Kevin Gausman was one of the best to do it. He's top 10 in many categories, including first overall in K/9, FIP, and WHIP (minimum 100 GS).
One of the worst things about EVs is the “EV look”. It’s awful. Nobody asked for these faux-future looks of boredom. Can we get sculptural designers back in the literal drawing room again, please? Car companies are so afraid to fail…but failure is ok. Cuz there is greatness that comes with it.

Toronto needs to fix its roads…yesterday. It sounds pro-car, speeding, etc. But good roads improve driving. Speed up the streetcar. Make cycling more comfortable. And it looks better. A lot better. People visit this town & the face we give them is pock-marked. It’s embarrassing.

This should be a minimum six-year cooling off period, and across all governments. Long enough to go a full-term past the current government. Stepped down after two years, then you wait out that term, plus another term before you can be a lobbyist.

Dammit...I must be an old man now. 100% agree with this. As soon as I see "Generation Whatever" in anything, it's a turnoff. NONE of these generational labels are good. Are we really lumping every demographic into a 20-year window?!? Eff that nonsense. At least use decades. Not perfect but better.

Honestly, tl;dr either. Articles about generational traits reek of laziness masquerading as a serious analytical framework. Nothing in the world is that neat. Stop it.
When things aren’t going your way publicly, make sure to pivot to booze. Just like Doug Ford. (Note, this doesn’t mean squadoosh to the economy. It’s just shuffling of money around.)

It's going to be a heartbreaker if he's dealt. I get it, this year's Jays have been too injured for too long & don't have the bats to pull themselves back up. BUT this era of Jays isn't over. They will continue to re-tool in the off-season, and Gausman probably has a couple yrs of quality ball left
