In general i think people want big dramatic problems to have big dramatic solutions, but like most societal scale problems climate change is going to be worked by millions of people doing fairly mundane things, so the process is almost invisible

There's this very visceral and convincing version of the world that they had envisioned that would require some very painful moral choices to adapt to, and it turns out "batteries + solar" are basically able to fix the problem.
