I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland. And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.

Sent an original off to its new home & got a small order out today. Fingers crossed we get a wee bit of snow in the next day or two! If you’ve been to Leach Botanical Garden you’re aware of what a special place it is. I went in January, it was beautiful and peaceful to have that escape, to meander the tranquil grounds right in SE PDX. Please support them! I’m thinking of auctioning off original art to make a nice donation 🖤
