It will be worse than this! Most websites will be forced to ask you to send your ID to a third party surveillance service, adding a credit card won't be enough for most. Bluesky asks for your *social security number* if you live in Texas now, due to this shit. Call in, and kill it.

I think the way I handle embarrassment is affected by my moral scrupulosity, in that I often feel compelled to talk about the embarrassing thing, bc it might be deceitful to misrepresent myself as a person who DIDN’T just do the social equivalent of slipping on a banana peel and falling on my face

Apple charges people ~20% more than the Patreon list price and they keep the difference for themselves. They also hold the proceeds of iOS app sales for 75 days, making it impossible for creators to accurately predict earnings. They basically inserted themselves in order to rip *more* people off
