To save space, the eyes on the Thwomp's face texture in Super Mario Galaxy are, in a manner both inventive and disconcerting, stored inside his mouth.

Please note that UV mapping, the practice of applying textures to a model via coordinate projection, often results in scrambled and misplaced parts in the image. The fact that the texture is different from the finished model after projection is not itself notable. I am merely pointing out the unintentionally unsettling imagery resulting from placing the eyes into the mouth but having an otherwise intact face in this instance.

A typical Mario texture (from Super Mario Party). Mario's eyes not being in their eye sockets is normal. If they were inside his mouth, however, it would be notable.
