Why does #YouTube work so poorly with #Firefox? I use vanilla Firefox -- no ad blockers or extensions of any kind -- and YouTube will get slow and then completely stop playing videos until Firefox is fully restarted. I let Firefox auto-update so it's always the latest version.

Could use some Blender/Unity help. Trying to set origin to a vertex for easy rotate in Unity. In Blender, I did Mesh>Snap>Cursor to Selected. Then Object>Set Origin>Origin to 3D Cursor. I just realized how important it is to add Reflection Probes when using baked lighting. Especially if metallic objects will be moving around the scene, such as being carried by the player character. Probably need 1 probe per room. Test them out if you haven't before. #Unity3D #IndieDev #GameDev

Shadow trouble: I've found hard shadows on realtime lights can cause large light blooms when camera is not close to light (bug?), so I use soft shadows. However, this resulted in some weird shadows, but can be mitigated by changing Normal Bias (I had to go down to 0.2). #Unity3D #IndieDev #GameDev

Debug: there are cases where it would be nice to step through frames 1 by 1. I could do this with a script set to run late in the cycle that sets timescale to 0 with a UI button to set timescale back to 1 for next frame. But is there already a way to do this I don't know about? #Unity3D #IndieDev

If you add Update method and set it private in a Monobehaviour, the compiler won't complain if you have an Update method in a subclass. This can create a gotcha bug when an empty Update gets auto-added to a subclass as then the superclass Update loop doesn't get called. #Unity3D #GameDev #IndieDev

What could cause this point light to randomly not appear? Notice it also shows a strange little grey box when light is out. This is a new scene without much in it, and this is the ONLY real-time light in the scene. When it's out, decreasing range can make it reappear. #Unity3D #IndieDev #GameDev
