Snapping shrimps paralyze prey with shock waves. But how do the shrimps protect themselves from the shock waves? They have orbital hoods that damp shock waves. Removing orbital hoods results in deficits in homing behavior. Fantastic talk by Alexandra Kingston. #ICN2026
