Long time campaigner for restoring Scotland’s independence. Carpe diem.
Trying not to share X content on here. But rules exist to be broken and this is just too funny.
Here's Monica Lennon prattling on that a pro Independence majority means it's a matter for the Scottish people. We have that Independence majority. So why has she changed her mind? To be 'Scottish' Labour leader. Unelectable, unprincipled and undemocratic. Same old.
Yup. Until we can answer the question "What do we do if Westminster keeps saying No.", we're going nowhere fast.

'Why's it up to him?' Folk give their views on Burnham's refusal to recognise Scottish democracy and self-determination. Good on STV for asking the question.

The cost to Scotland from the 'No' vote in 2014 is now manifest. Handing decision making back to England, leading to England's enforced Brexit, the hit to jobs and living standards and now damaging 'deals' hammering the NHS. We need Independence urgently. @believeinscotland.bsky.social @snp.org
These are the people that lied to Scots about remaining in the EU, that lied about Scots being in a democratic 'voluntary union' that respected the right to national self determination and refuse to accept Scotland's election result. #ItsTime

I see his lardship George Foulkes (regularly the most costly 'Scottish' peer) is in the news again. He's really not the sharpest tool in the box.
Just remembered we've passed the 10th anniversary of this untruthful tweet
We are working hard to deliver on your priorities. In case you missed it, this week: 🏥 NHS long waits fell for 11th month in a row 🩺 Surpassed the target of 150,000 extra appointments 🏡 First Homes Fund to open by the end of June 🏴 Passed the vote on devolving energy powers
Yet the Unionist Interest say that there is no democratic mandate?
A majority in the Scottish Parliament has just backed our call to devolve energy powers to Scotland. We can’t afford being tied to the failed policies at Westminster. Scotland’s energy should work for Scotland - with the powers we need to help bring people’s bills down.
'Pressed on what plan he has in mind if Starmer still does not budge on handing over powers for a referendum, Mr Swinney said “We’ve got to make it impossible for the UK Government to refuse the ability of Scottish Parliament to legislate on this question,” Watch: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta7G...
For those in the Yes movement that still cling to the foundational myth of the Greater English state that 1707 was legal, legitimate and a 'voluntary' union, take the time to listen to Robert Black, KC: “The story of the 1707 Union is not one of a voluntary mutual partnership…”
If we're staring a massive autumn economic crisis in the face, we should immediately initiate Swinney's secret strategy for independence.
Wee Doogie Alexander saying 'circumstances have changed' - they certainly have with the 2014 unionist promises blown away, chaos at WM, the economy on a precipice and an Independence majority and reelected @theSNP govt. Scots demand our democratic right to choose our future #Yes
This is why history matters. The Treaty of Union and Acts of union, presented as an 'agreement', were illegitimate and illegal in 1707 - and are so today. That makes the so called sovereignty of the 'UK' parliament over Scotland both unlawful and unconstitutional.
An excellent interview "It's highly irresponsible, a dereliction of duty not to plan, to put the question where the people see their future ... the opportunity will not be missed" bellacaledonia.org.uk/2026/05/15/j...
"Leaving the EU was a catastrophic mistake" True, but, for Scots. the catastrophic mistake was handing our sovereignty back to England in 2014, leaving our country subservient, powerless and out of Europe against our core national interests. Regaining our independence is urgent and cannot wait.
Westminster won't tackle inequality. We need all the powers of independence to sort it ourselves. Let's be more like the rest of Europe. public.flourish.studio/visualisatio...

Did you known that the 2026 cross-party mandate to hold a Scottish independence referendum is larger than the 2011 Alternative Vote referendum, the 2016 Brexit referendum, *and* the 2014 Scottish independence referendum? Yet Westminster still insists there is no mandate. #Scotland
"A British government which insists that it will not consent to Scotland having a say on its own future is conceding the UK is not a union at all. It's a prison." Wee GingerDug
