The Third Slow American Revolution is the collapse of culture. These kinds of collapses happen slowly and then all at once, and we've of course seen waves of culture collapse happening for years, but we're now locally and nationally in the happening all at once phase.

And this is not the first time here. In 1956 the City of St Paul evicts the residents of Swede Hollow, a railroad shantytown on downtown's eastern edge. 1000's of immigrants from many backgrounds had lived in this place since 1850. The homes are then burned to the ground by the Fire Department.

It’s awful of the mayor to put vulnerable people at greater risk just to try and save her political career.
People, including myself, find Subway Takes so refreshing because Kareem's approach is 'explain it to me and I'll consider it' which is pretty much antithetical to both American discourse and techno-fuedalist platform interactions

Social media promotes argument - we agree that’s just an inherent feature of it. So it’s natural social media would produce a person who argues with anyone over anything at any time for any reason. Pure argument.

Young people tap into community through fandom. The sandwich generations tap into community for support. Older Americans experience community through spending. Not exclusive + overlap of course, but for the most part it's a byproduct of generational economic inequality + no IRL 3rd spaces left.
