The Steam page for my next project: What Lies Within The Ivory Tower is live. The game has officially entered an alpha stage. Here's some images from the game and intro cinematic, with some fantastic assistance by @brickwork.bsky.social on the ship!
All day ride to Bosham. The village on the estuary that partially floods every high tide
almost done with my rooftops jam map! got bored of pasting windows onto houses so I started pasting faces, maybe it's just my thing I do now
I would 100% support a law that says if any digital platform removes your access to media you paid for then they are required to refund you the entirety of the original purchase price. That would solve this whole thing in a hurry.
Sony has responded to a digital games lawsuit by arguing that players don't actually own the games they buy Its lawyers say they are licensed rather than sold
Someone on here linked this book so I gave it a punt and yeah, incredible 👌Listen to The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett on Audible. www.audible.co.uk/pd/B0CH1MMC3...

Strangely beautiful cut out for a doorway leading *somewhere* at Kenley airfield. My level design brain is telling me this is 100% a secret bunker housing government experiments that have broken free.
A fast working anti-depressant you say? Have you tried riding your bicycle through a forest?
Incredible overlaps of systems and enemy behaviours. The Droideka has a huuuuge shield but if you push it into stuff it takes damage through the shield. Even force pushed it into my own guy for a few extra points of damage :D
Yeh this is my one gripe in an otherwise pretty flawless game. Not being able to control where your guys start means it puts my sniper at the front, low ground and my scoundrel at the back, high ground.
The satisfaction of a perfect overwatch :D Cool to see they implemented combo movement, it really speeds up the action and makes moments like this way more impactful. There's even the push+impact mechanic from Midnight Suns used on a few abilites which gives even more opportunities for tactics
Some things that stuck out to me in Zero Company so far: - Non combat switches to 3rd person exploration. Speeds up levels considerably. You do lose fine control over positioning of your guys when combat starts again tho. - The story/characters are really good! Recommend this one :)
So cruel to release a really awesome looking turn based tactics game right as im in the middle of a Stalker 2 replay and an Indiana Jones play. Just cruel!
The cold dread when you open Bsky and see 30+ notifications... Did I say something topical?🤣 Ah no, people just love big cranes. Fair.
