oh wowwww he signed bills into law... which afaik passed the legislature with veto-proof majorities, you are lionizing newsom for adding a purely ceremonial signature to documents other people write, what did GAVIN actually do

Charlie had a vet visit today, thankfully he only needed a couple shots and no bloodwork. Looks like he might be chronic with the mouth ulcers like old man Percy my elderly cat that passed last year. But at least I was able to get Charlie insured before diagnosis. He put on a pound too!

Launching today - FLOWERS IN THE DUSTBIN. Set during the rise of the early UK punk scene, Flowers in the Dustbin is an epic graphic novel serialised on Patreon. It's the story of a punk band with a trans woman lead singer. Meet Lola, Terry, Lloyd and Simon as they form the band known as Slagheap.

Spent the weekend going back to canvas and paint for a commissioned pet portrait. Digital spoils me lol but getting it right with no safety net feels good. Halfway through, still refining the details.

Back at the er. My hand is better but the pale pink area keeps spreading up my arm so better to be safe than sorry and came back.

Swelling has come down a bit I can use more fingers 😁 should be discharged tomorrow 😁

No hand surgery for now 😁

Admitted to the hospital last night. Antibiotics are working. Hand still swollen but color is so much better this morning

At the emergency room as a precaution. Roommate’s cat had a temper tantrum and chomped my drawing hand a bit too deeply. Swelling got worse and having some fever/chills so decided to get medical attention. I’m the next to get a treatment room.

The 1980’s:

I will take photos of Percy’s clay paw print. I got it back yesterday. They also gave me more ink prints and a vial of Percy’s fur. 🥲 I’ll photograph all that and the lovely card they sent me.

Took Miss Lady to the vet. She might have a uterine infection from giving birth prematurely. Expensive lady 234 bucks! But I got her this far and I’m not giving up on her. She got her meds and is home resting.

Lucy’s appointment didn’t go well. She’s not healing properly so I have to keep her even more confined, only wet food, little to no water, and a little kibble here and there. She’s in her cat carrier crying for me. Another terrible week ahead for the both us. 😓
